This past Saturday, I got to capture the gorgeous wedding day of Ryan and Kelly at the stunning Lacuna Lofts in Chicago. Their love story is honestly a testament of love, patience and lots of dedication. Having met at work, it did not take Ryan and Kelly long to realize they had an extremely special connection. Even though the distance was long from California to Illinois, it seemed as though they were growing closer until she made a big-hearted decision to move back to the windy city to be with Ryan.

Lacuna Lofts Wedding Venue

Lacuna Lofts was really love at first sight for the couple as their wedding venue. With its location in the heart of Chicago, Lacuna Lofts showcases a certain uniqueness to the factory art scene. But maybe the most important selling point of this space is the view from the rooftop of the Chicago skyline creating a panoramic view that creates a breathtaking background, which was to provide a perfect backdrop for their cermoeny. Plus the art from local Chicago artist is something that they both loved so much.

A Perfect Day: Weather and First Look

The weather on the big day could not have been better. With the sun directly above and the temperature pushing 90 degrees, it was bound to be a hot day, just like Ryan and Kelly’s love and enthusiasm. Likely one of the most memorable parts of this wedding was the first look. Kelly had a special surprise waiting for Ryan in the form of matching baseball jerseys with the numbers “Mr. 20” and “Mrs. 24”. How cute is that? Y’all their giddiness felt infectious all throughout the day, exuding warmth and a joyful atmosphere to everyone around them!

The Ceremony: Heartfelt Vows and Stunning Views

The very ceremony itself was beautiful and full of their own personal touches. Kelly and Ryan’s vows were heartfelt, emotional, and full of their commitment towards each other. Moments dramatic yet romantic brought about the picture-perfect scene of the ceremony with the background of the Chicago skyline.

Intimate Moments

Throughout the day, Ryan and Kelly really focused on the importance of family. They chose to have a very private cake-cutting ceremony that was very meaningful to them. It was a quiet, intimate moment that I was honored to capture—just them two showing their love and bond together.

Scrolling through their wedding pictures, one can assuredly say that Ryan and Kelly’s joy comes right out from each frame. It was such a pure celebration of their love story performed amidst art, loved ones, and, above all, love.
