Today we are talking to One:Twelve Weddings! I’m absolutely thrilled to present this exclusive interview with a true professional in the industry. I guess you could consider this your backstage pass to the artistry, precision, and passion that go into creating the perfect wedding day. Today, we are talking to a Grand Rapids, Michigan wedding planner and getting the inside details into her business. Did I mention that she also plans destination weddings? Well, she does, and by looking at her work below, you can see why her attention to detail is phenomenal.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: A little over three years!

Q: What made you get started in your industry?

A: Planning my own wedding is what made me realize I had to be in the wedding industry!

Q: What service do you offer and who do you offer it to?

A: I offer both planning and coordination services to any couple looking for some extra help! I also create custom bridal accessories like veils.

Q: What do you love most about your job?

A: I love seeing the couple get to enjoy their day without worrying about what’s next – that’s my job! I also love seeing all the moving parts come together like decor!

Q: Where are you located and what do you love about the location?

A: I am located in Grand Rapids, Michigan! I love that there are so many venues to choose from, whether it be downtown or on the lake! I also love to travel; this past year took me to Seattle and Colorado!

Q: Do you have a team?

A: At the moment, it is just me! I do hire an assistant for the day of a wedding for extra hands, but they are not technically hired in. But I sure hope to grow a team in the next couple of years!

Q: Any tips you would like to offer for couples planning their event?

A: When it comes to the first stages of planning, I always suggest making a list of all the wedding vendors and prioritizing them according to importance and how much money you want to spend in each area.

Q: Tell me all about your favorite event that you’ve worked.

A: My favorite wedding was probably the one in Seattle! I had been planning this one for over a year, and it was just amazing to see all the details come together! It was a classic, romantic vibe and had lots of baby’s breath! The couple even had their dogs join for cocktail hour – how cute!

Q: Anything else you would like to share about your business?

A: Along with wedding planning and coordination, I offer the creation of custom bridal accessories like earrings, veils, bows, gloves, etc. I love creating something special for the bride that you can’t find just anywhere!
